not sure, i just got it so i could overclock, im guessing its 6 years old, same as cpu. If i check bios the voltages looks fine. Lowest ive seen 5v is 4,8v

Hello, i overclocked my i5 6600k a couple weeks ago and i got a stable oc at around 4,6ghz. Then it slowly has gotten worse and worse with random crashes once or twice a week. Now im down to 4,1 Ghz and anything above will freeze the computer. Anyone know why this happend so fast? I know about...

What do you mean by this? The system bearly uses 200w the cpu avrages 40-70W under load depending if its oc or not and the gpu uses 120W max, 140W with overclock. 140+70= 210W. 450-210 = 240 W left over to ssd,hdd,ram,motherboard,led etc.

hm, if it lagged it might be a full ssd/hdd, did u try updating the gpu drivers?

I was playing a game with a small overclock on a i5 6600k, (4,3ghz) then my pc just decided to freeze. I held the restart button as ive done many times before when i had a bit higher overclocks and it freezes (4,4-4,8ghz). It seems as if i could overclock less and less and my pc still freezes...
