Hello, i overclocked my i5 6600k a couple weeks ago and i got a stable oc at around 4,6ghz. Then it slowly has gotten worse and worse with random crashes once or twice a week. Now im down to 4,1 Ghz and anything above will freeze the computer. Anyone know why this happend so fast? I know about silicone degradation and that it gets worse over time. But still, it shouldnt get this bad this fast. Its running at a quite high voltage 1.4-1.45 but not under any extreme loads so it sits at around 50-60 degrees peaks at around 70, so no issues there in my oppinion. When it was at 4,6Ghz it was running at 1.38-1.40v so nothing extreme there.
