side retainer clip locks don't fully close when installing ddr3

I guess I found my answer on the Crucial website. http://www.crucial.com/support/troubleshooting_install.aspx Says to make sure everything is alligned and push harder. It's not installed correctly if the clips don't lock by themselves.

side retainer clip locks don't fully close when installing ddr3

When installing DDR3 RAM Cruxial Sport XT, on MSI H81 P33 motherboard the retainer clips/locks on the sides don't close completely when I push down on the RAM sticks. Should I push harder and they will completely close, or am I doing it wrong? Or is it ok if those locks don't close completely?

    ghosting on benq gl 2460hm

AMA is "overdrive" I think. Turning AMA on should give less response time. And that should maybe reduce ghosting. And reduce blurry images like KevinAr18 said. Sometimes having AMA turned on can cause "reverse ghosting". So just as ghosting you see duplicate images. That is caused I think, by...

It sounds like your monitor broke.Except that your USBs also don't work. Test another monitor to see if it works.

You might also be better of spending that extra money on an SSD. To make system boot, starting up programs and general harddrive access quicker. for example I bought a Crucial m500: http://pcpartpicker.com/search/?cc=us&q=m500+ssd I got the 240GB.

Keep in mind that I'm not exactly sure about the recommendations I give. With your current build you are spenind about 60$ more or so than the previous one. I'm not sure if it's maybe better to spend that money on a slightly better video card. Since at the moment you only have a 270x which...

    Working on my Build q

Sometimes it can be difficult to fit the EVO CPU cooler together with the RAM. Moving the RAM to slots 2 and 4 should work. If you want to be sure you can buy "low profile" RAM. According to the first link, the fan on the heatsink is movable...

Here is another link for good AM3+ motherboards: https://teksyndicate.com/forum/motherboards/990fx-vs-970fx-chipset/155497 The 990 you picked is one of the recommended cards.

Either the 970 card you had earlier or the 990 you picked now seems good. I looked a little more at what the 83xx series maxpower draw from the PSU is. And when overclocked it seems it can be quite high. Shouldn't be a problem with one video card and modest overclock. But maybe you would want...

    Working on my Build q

The 970 chipset isn't the newst chipset for AM3+ motherboards. The newest is the FX990 chipset. Not sure what the difference is. Edit: The 990FX is better for overclocking, has more PCIe ports and supports full 8x/8x SLI/Crossfire. So the 990FX is better, depends on what the price difference...

Looks good. PSU seems good. ONly thing about the PSU is that it's non-modular, not a big deal. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_supply_unit_(computer)#Modular_power_supplies Don't know alot about AMD motherboards. You may want a second opinion on that.

HD 7750 with no video output!

If you can, connect a monitor to the VGA port of the 7750. If you can, using PEG/PCI BIOS setting, connect one monitor to your integrated graphics, connect another monitor to the 7750. What happens during boot? What BIOS do you have? Phoenix Award, MSI?

HD 7750 with no video output!

"If the computer passes the POST the computer gives a single beep (with some computer BIOS manufacturers it may beep twice) as the computer starts and the computer will continue to start normally. However, if the computer fails the POST, the computer will either not beep at all or will generate...

    Installing I3 1150 CPU - socket cover

Thanks for the link. I think I was just nervous because I dropped the cover, thinking something had broken. Also the first time I tried the cover wasn't sliding under the stud. So then the mechanism wasn't behaving as it should. But after making sure it was under the stud and applying more...
