I got it off newegg, and it came with nothing but the hard drive itself, so I'll give that a try. If there is anything on it, its not my data.

I'm not sure how that happened, but there it is.

I know it isn't faulty because it shows up under disk management, and in 8 partitions for some reason. Yet it doesn't show up in MyComputer. Do I need to update my sata drivers? I'm using the asrock h81m motherboard. I'm hoping I don't need to update my sata drivers because the asrock website...

Yeah its connected to the motherboard, I think I might have a faulty wire somewhere.

I got to that page as you described, and it says no boot device detected. The cd rom drive I believe is installed correctly, as there is power to it, and the windows disc in in it.
