    try the auto detect tool from AMD. That is what i had to use when I had to redo my whole OS and didn't have the original disk for the GPU. Also what OS are you running? http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/auto-detect-tool

    I would suggest installing the drivers if you haven't already. There should also be an option in the bios to use the on-board or pci video- depends on what bios you're running. here's the link for the drivers. Give it a shot and see if that helps...

    does my laptop work for xbox one usage?

    If it is Windows 10 and it has the Xbox App install then you can just stream it to your laptop..given that the school didn't lock down the laptop
