ASUS GTX 970 STRIX idle temp 55-65
Odd. Now granted I have a full tower. The 780t but my pair of strix idle at around 28c and maxed out Witcher 3 4k/40+fps (no hairworks) the top card never goes over 69c. That's at about 63% fan speed. These are stock clock. I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. Those two buggers are strong...- Beasthunt

Titan X vs 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, ++++?
Late to the party but I will leave this for future googlers. I accidentally bought two sticks of 4gb ram instead of two sticks of 8gb. I have the evga sc Titan X and the machine works fine of 8gb. I did order 8 more gig but you can certainly get away with 8gb of ram. I'm still getting 59fps on...
