System Specs...
CPU: Intel i7 4790k
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H-BK
Memory: 8GB Corsair XMP 1600 CL 8-8-8-24

I'm in the process of upgrading my memory to 16/32GB. I've read that the Titan X, "recommends" up to 48GB of memory to run, "properly". I've seen some reviews at 16GB/32GB that basically state there is no difference.

Here's my question... I've never seen a benchmark of a Titan X running with 8GB of system RAM... you think it'll be an issue till I upgrade to a larger quantity of system memory?

I'm not really planning on doing much overclocking on my CPU. So, what speed RAM should I get? I'm currently looking at, G.Skill 2400 16gb CL 10-12-12-31. Should I invest in more/faster RAM?

I guess the TL;DR of it is... what's the hubbub with the Titan X RAM requirements?

Late to the party but I will leave this for future googlers. I accidentally bought two sticks of 4gb ram instead of two sticks of 8gb.

I have the evga sc Titan X and the machine works fine of 8gb. I did order 8 more gig but you can certainly get away with 8gb of ram.

I'm still getting 59fps on Witcher 3 in 1440 via DSR.
