I have 2 x samsung 990 pro ssd's for software, 1 for windows 11 plus a couple of others and a 2nd one for the rest of my software. I have 2 additional 990 pro ssd's for all my files/data. Does anyone know if samsung magician is best installed on the os drive or my other software drive?

They are very different from my point of view. Maybe that is my bad. Option 1 was 2 separate drives entirely. Oprion 2 was the 2 drives effwctively 1 larger drive with a partition. The aim being 3 fold. Speed, if a drive fails only part of the system is corrupted or lost, 3 ease of repair or...

Can windows 11 pro and ms office professional plus 2021 be instalked on different drives. I like the idea of having my os on its own drive and all other software /apps on a separate drive with my data / files on a separate 3rd drive.

That is my problem. Mb is m2a m2b m2c all 1tb and m2d 2tb. But when in bios boot drive opyion 1 is 1tb option 2 is 2tb option 3 is 1 tb option 4 is 1tb. So as you see they ate out of sequence, hence I dont know which 1tb is which.

You woyld think gigabyte would have labbled them so they line up with the actual mb sockets.

Yes, I can disable them . Tge only problem is that I dont know if I am disabling m2a or m2b or m2c or m2d.

Unfortunately removing the drives is not possible as these use an adhesive heatsink pad top and bottom and then a srewed netal cover over them. Also, the large cpu cooler extends over the area that the drives are secured into, as does the gpu.

Mb is Aorus gigabyte X570s master. Processor is ryzen 9 5900x I have samsung 980 pro, 1tb in m2a, m2b and m2c with a 2tb in m2d. When I go into boot menu it does not mention which socket each drive is in. It just lists in order option 1 1tb, option 2 2tb, option 3 1tb, option 4 1tb.

I have 3 x 1Tb in M2A, M2B and M2C and 1 x 2Tb in M2D, all M.2 drives. Problem is in setup I see Boot Option 1 1TB Boot Option 2 2Tb Boot Option 3 1TB Boot Option 4 1TB I want to use the 1TB that is closest to the CPU, the M2A, but which of these 1TB drives in the M2A slot?

I assume then that one of the 6+2 cables, which has another 6+2 looped off it, the 6 connects to the 6 pin socket on the gpu?
