    A 1060 should fit fine in that system. Technically, that PSU should be able to run it, but upgrading to a new one is probably recommended.

    A nice looking, budget case is the NZXT Source 210. It also can come with a window, and can also come in white.

    Steam vs disc

    Not really. With Steam, its way easier to do multiplayer, and is easier than hunting down discs. Discs are better when you want to show off all teh games you've got on a shelf. Go with Steam most of the time, unless the Steam version has crappy developer DRM.

    Are you willing to also upgrade you PSU? Their are some fairly decent old cards, but they require a mimimum 400-450 watts.

    One thing for this build I would recommend: a CPU cooler. AMD FX CPUs are know for their heat output, so using an aftermarket CPU cooler can help remove that. Here is a good, fairly cheap one.
