    Underperforming gaming rig

More cores =/= more fps. The FX-6100 has similar performance to first generation Intel i5 CPU's. From like 5-6 years ago. Architecture, clock speed...etc are all important. There's Intel dual core CPU's that are more powerful than your 6100.

    Underperforming gaming rig

Well lets start with what resolution are you playing on? Secondly, your CPU is pretty weak and I believe its most likely bottlenecking you in many applications. For reference that GTX670 should be running pretty much any game on max settings on 1080P if its not bottlenecked so if you're having...

    Exhaust Or Intake?

How hot is your ambient air temperature? Also, I'm an advocate of positive case air pressure which means you should have more intake than exhaust. It may be a bit worse for cooling, but it helps keep dust out.

A question for you GPU veterans.

If the video card is properly cooled and running at proper temperatures, then its simply doing what it is supposed to do.

What do you think about VW Cars

I think VW makes great cars. They are less reliable than Japanese equivalents just like any German Car. However, VW is a huge company...probably the largest German car manufacturer (They own Audi and Lamborghini I believe). They have a huge stockpile of cash to blow on Research and Development...

    Watercooling: Radiator or Condenser?

Thanks, I'll definitely read through that and follow the thread.

    Watercooling: Radiator or Condenser?

Well, I can't find exact specifications, but it seems like the unit runs around 400watts, but that would be under full load aka minimum temperature which I suppose would be much too overkill. Now, if you subtract the power that would be used from all those fans for a high-end radiator and such...

    Watercooling: Radiator or Condenser?

Hmm, well I don't think the water would become frozen. If your resorvoir is large enough and your water circulation is fast enough within reason, it won't be exposed long enough to become frozen. That cooled tip is quite small. On top of that, I believe you can adjust its temperature so if -48...

    Watercooling: Radiator or Condenser?

Hi, Frozencpu has this interesting tool, the condenser: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/6233/ex-vap-15/Cooler_Express_2012_Super_Single_Evaporator_CPU_Cooling_Unit_w_Upgraded_Socket_Kit_-_All_Sockets_478_754_775_1155_1156_1366_2011_939_940_AM2_Xeon_CE-48-S-1C.html?tl=g30c367s679 Now, my...

    Absolute Best Build Possible

Well...if the game can take advantage of 16 cores...the Dual Xeons will do great. The only benefit of the 3970X is that you can clock it up to absurdity which is great for games that use clock speed rather then many cores. Also, if you had those dual xeons, you'd probably be able to run...

Sorry but these builds are intensity weak. The most powerful gaming system you can have: -EVGA SR-X Motherboard -Corsair Platinum 96GB @ 2000mhz+ and Cas 9 -Dual Corsair AX 1200i Power Supplies -5 Nvidia EVGA GTX 680 Hydro Copper Editions. (4 of them in Quad SLI which destroys 690's in SLI and...

    BestConfigs: High-End Intel Gaming PC

I don't see how $2,000 is *high-end*. If you want to run modern games in 3D and surround displays...you're going to need some ridiculous power. I bet overclocked Quad SLI GTX 680's with a 5th GTX 680 for physx paired with an overclocked 3970X or Dual Xeon 4650's would struggle pulling most...
