AMA Raspberry Pi AMA - Ask your questions now!

Aside from the extra RAM, does the new Pi4 have better virtualization support? I tried using a Pi3 as an openstack compute node and it turns out that extensive modification would have been necessary to get it to work.

Of the 1TB drive you have everything on, how much of that is free, how much is media, and how much is the OS and programs. 120GB might be enough in a couple cases- one, you do most of your computer work using cloud based solutions, like google docs, hulu, picasa, gmail etc. two, you don't...

Will this PC be able to run games and are the components compatible?

nope. All I'm saying is if you are strapped for cash, the GTX1050 should give you a nice bump up in performance. the A8 is not as good as the i5 in your laptop but if the game is limited by GPU, then you'll at least gain performance by using a discrete GTX1050 vs the integrated GPU of the A8...

Will this PC be able to run games and are the components compatible?

Ryzen doesn't have a GPU built in. if you add the GTX1050 or RX460, i'm almost 100% certain it will fare better than the 820M in your laptop unless the game is CPU limited. I *think* the GTX1050 doesn't need a PCI-E power connector (at least some dont), so you could get away with adding that...
