Yes but so would a 1080. A 1080 is worse than 1070 sli. I can upgrade gpu's easier than a cpu. I want my cpu to last 2 or maybe 3 gpu upgrades

Well 1070sli is almost guaranteed considering price drops and next years black friday prices.

Right now^. I am talking 4 or 5 years down the line is what I want my cpu to still be performing. And its a 165hz 1440p panel. Not really too interested in getting over 120 fps. I can do that later. Just good fps at 1440p with a platform to upgrade my gpu(s). And a 1080 is a little more...

6700k and a gtx 1080. Or 6800k and a 1070 (second later)? I want it to last awhile and the x99 platform has more cores (dx12 etc). And more pcie lanes and more slots. The 1070 seems like it could do the job then theres an option for a second one. I want it to last awhile. And be (((future proof))).

The 165hz is the cheaper one. Its just got a 4ms delay. Compared to the 1ms delay of the more expensive 144hz monitor.

Gtx 1070 now and sli soonish. Or Gtx 1080 now and sli much later possibly a year or two?

I am looking at two 1440p monitors. Both are 27 inches. One does 144hz the other does 165hz. The one that does 144hz is over 100 dollars more. And all it has over the monitor with 165hz is a 1ms delay vs 4ms. I have been told that 3 ms isn't much. Should I buy the 165hz monitor?

What are the benefits of gsync?

Not really possible. But I have near perfect vision with absolutely no need for glasses etc. Would that affect anything? Would Gsync be worth it over the ppi?

So I should get the Gsync panel regardless? Even if the 1440p offers superior ppi? Wouldn't it cancel out the need for AA though?

I am looking at new monitors for a pc I am going to be building. Would it be better to go 1440p 144hz 24in. Or 1080p 144hz with G-sync?

The Xeon is also hyper threaded. Its the exact same cpu without the igpu for 70 less bucks lol.
