    Tear-Down: Let's Take a Trip Inside A UPS

Thanks for the great article! I had to comment here as I have this exact model of APC 1000 still running strong after over a decade. And believe it or not, the ORIGINAL battery is still working although it was offline for 3-4 years while I was using a Belkin (which was quieter but charging...

    Fresh XP install problems

I think that'll get you where you want to go faster. I did so many builds with retail, various OEM versions of XP through the years, that I always had SP3 on a CDRW and later on a thumb drive ready to go. Before discarding an old computer that no longer works, I would like to remove the internal hard drive and be able to retrieve

Depending on the interface type, some sort of IDE or SATA to USB adapter should work. Then you would just hook the drive up to your new PC via the USB port to access the data.

Windows 8.1 Causing Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues

I have a single boot Win 8.1 Pro (upgraded from 8 Pro) on a modern Core i7 PC on a wired/wireless network. I had an issue where I could not print to two previously network connected printers connected to another machine that is Core i3, dual booted WinXP Pro 32 and Win 7 Pro 64. The printers are...
