Thank you for the reply. The memory I'm trying to insert is PNY brand. I have 3 x 8 GB DDR3 sticks. They are compatible with 1066, 1333, & 1600 MHz. I bought it from Best Buy. I have tried everything you suggested. Each time though, my computer wouldn't boot when I tried to start it.
