Hey all, So I got three of the Samsung sm961 256GB M.2 drives today. I thought I would have some fun seeing what numbers I could come up with in single, Dual Raid 0 and Triple Raid 0 configurations. They are all on a PCI-e to M.2 card in a PCI-E lane all running at x4 speed on a Rampage...

One would think that would be the case, however in the article it suggested that due to it being an OEM product, Samsung probably wouldn't release it there. In fact according to the website, there has NEVER been a firmware update to the SM951 or the 941 either. :(

I just finished reading Tom's review on the SM961 for 256, 512 and 1TB editions. With this being an OEM drive, where would one look for an updated firmware for drives like these or the SM951? Just curious where to start looking or keeping an eye out. Thanks.

Honestly the difference between the xp 941 and the sm951 can only be seen if you have a PCIe 3.0 x4 or M.2 3.0 x4 slot to use them in. If you have a 2.0 x4 or 2.0 x2 slot you aren't going to see much difference between the two.

Yes the XP941 was a bit of a bear at first to get recognized. Make sure you have latest BIOS and you may need to turn off CSM and change settings to Raid to get the drive to be recognized. The SM951 had no such issues. It was recognized and booted up perfectly. I agree also that you should...
