Right. Thanks for that. I have a cooler master rs 700 asaa a1 (700w). lying around, but the issue is that its motherboard power cable is smaller than my main motherboards one. it also only has two six pin pcie cables. and all my gpu's other than one (from over a decade ago) can support that. So...

I get whea uncontrollable errors. It bsods randomly. I limited the maximum usage to 60%. now it bsods like every 6 hours under load. No beep codes or anything, Here is the dump file. I know its to do with the CPU, but is it the socket, or can It be fixed with just buying a new CPU? Mbd; ASUS...

well, an i7 870 (pretty much the top dog for this board) costs 20 quid from CEX so I can't really overspend xD. I've got 'new' Ram from an office pc that worked and tried that. still the same. I borrowed my friends ram and still Bsods..... so not the ram

Asus p7p55pd LE. and the CPU crashes randomly. sometimes during boot, sometimes after I log in. I turned CPU usage to 60% max and now it crashes like once a day but now under load.

Right now I have a i7 860 in my computer but alas it is slowly giving up on me giving more and more BSODS. so can I change my i7 to an i5 680 with integrated video they are both LGA 1156 but the i7 is Lynnfield while the i5 is a Clarkdale, so are they interchangeable? MOTHERBOARD: Asus p7p55pd LE

I think I fixed it. I've limited the cpu to 61% usage anymore and it crashes. Thanks anyway,

I keep getting whea uncorrectable errors, clock watchdogtimeouts and I've also got like four other errors. whea uncontrollable error is by far the most common though. I've just done a clean windows install and I still get them. They happen with a sort of pattern, like when I boot the computer...
