The reason for the slightly confusing question is because my old parent's computer has raisers which looked exactly like standoffs. I had a look inside the case to check out the cooler and that is what I saw.

Then how do the screw in coolers attach to the motherboard, it would just fall off it it isn't a push clip on one won't it?

My processor is Intel core i5-4790k 3.50ghz. I'm just worried about the cooler size because my case allows for a max of 155mm height, and if I'm thinking of the right one, the hyper evo 212 is too big for my case.
