Wow after all the searching the live support with windows I finally manged to figure it out. In the screen resolution where it shows the display 1 and display 2 in a graphic. you can drag and drop their order there. I still do not know what caused the problem.

What are you using it for. Really the most importatnt feature for me in any portable device would be battery life. My understanding is haswell will use less power then ivybridge. If you are planning on doing lots of things unplugged you can expect better battery time out of it.

I do have it in Fat 32. and it reads fine it just locks up when i either try to load the new bios or save the existing bios.

When you do the install of windows it will ask you if you wanx x86 or x64. you want x64 for 64bit x86 is 32-bit. easy to confuse if you are new to this.

Have you inspected the MOBO for any breaks in the wiring. could be something you might be able to easily re-solder.

I know this may sound stupid but are you running 32 bit or 64 bit version of windows 7

Might be a bad power supply or the battery on the mobo is having problems and when you are hitting it they are moving enough to get a bit of power though so it will boot. I would start by finding out how to replace the battery on the mobo. These batteries are like watch batteries.

1394a should be backwards compatible with 1394. FYI I am not updating my original answer because i am on a work computer and that feature doesn't work with this outdated version of IE at work.

Ok i looked it up. has an internal port that you can connect to so if you case has a front panel port ofr ieee 1394 you can have that one working at the front and then another one at the back.
