If it has a speaker/buzzer you can also try to remove everything, RAM included, leave just the CPU and its cooler and the power to the mobo and CPU and see if it turns on and beeps a complaint. Failing to turn on then I'd also take the CPU out and try again.

If the only thing you're only going to do in that OS is run games I don't see the security risks, specially since you're going to do it in a virtual machine — isolated from your main system. As long you don't browse the internet or install games from suspicious sources you should be fine.

Do you have the iGPU Multi-Monitor option? Did you try to enable it when setting the Primary Display to IGFX?

Yeah, it's weird. It could be an iGPU setting. First you need to be able to to get into BIOS and configure it at will.

Well, the next step seems to be to borrow or buy a keyboard, ideally a ps/2, and try it. I've had computers with BIOS which didn't support USB keyboards well, but that was a very long time ago, like 20+ years. I'd be surprised if such a recent mobo acted like this.
