Tests show that a NVME doesn't make that much of a difference on loading times of games... Ask a data scientist about how much time it savings them loading data, maybe with Nvidia's new Cacheing tech, it might make a difference.

yea go to power options then change options -> adanced settings ->usb then disable USB selective suspend. Could also be a power setting in the BIOS, I know my laptop has an option to turn them off when the computer is in sleep or stand by.
