Have a msi GX740 which has a Radeon HD5870 GPU. The idle temperature is 68-70 and the temperature under load is low 80 to 90 degree celcius. My cpu is quite cool. 50-55 idle, 60+ on load. Cleaned out dust, cpu's temperature became 45-50 idle, 50-65 on load. Sometimes it hits 70 but not often...

Just bought a 3 year old msi GX740 off ebay. Everything seemed to work when I tested it before paying. But when I got home, I downloaded speedfan and realised that my gpu was 69 degrees celcius when IDLE, and the gpu fan speed was 0 rpm. Monitored it for about 2 hours more, still around that...

My laptop's wifi range is really short... When I bought it, it could detect my neighbour's wifi. Now it can only detect wifi from the same room. Around 5-8 meters range. If I plugged a USB wifi dongle into my laptop, how will it know whether to use that wifi dongle or the wifi card that came...

wow dude relax.... this is an old pc from my mum's company. I'm not from the US and shit like this don't happen in my country. My product key is xxxxx-OEM-xxxxxxx-xxxxx(x incase my product key can be reused...). So I'm using an oem version of windows right? No harddisk transfer?

Btw how do you check whether it's an OEM or the retail version? Cos this pc is a used one and the previous owner might have installed a fresh copy of windows on it...
