just get 8-8-8-24 ddr3 1600 as the apu needs fast ram, and you're better off with the a6-5400. even if yer not using the integrated gpu, low latency 1600 will still help yer overall system performance by a lot.

the 3700+ should do 2.5ghz easily. any more than that is asking alot if yer motherboard cant lock pci/agp frequencies. you risk corrupting your hdds or worse. the chip itself is capable of 2600mhz with a good motherboard that lets you lock down pci/agp to 33/66mhz, and adjust northbridge...

yes get a better psu than comes with yer case. also the fx6300 does oc better either way FYI. the only way I'd ever suggest using a default case psu to overclock is if yer overclocking a light chip, like a 5400k apu (65w) and only doing a modest oc, say 200 mhz (400mhz turbo) even a barebones...

just grab an athlon or athlonXP motherboard off amazon.com, and a stick of ddr ($40.00 total) got a 2200+ running ME right now I play old games like Doom Mechwarrior 2/3 Duke nukem, and quake on just fine. and it is blazing fast. a 2200+ will run 89/ME like a modern phenomII runs win7...
