Have you tried adjusting the screen resolution on the TV or monitor that it is being plugged into. The max resolution is 2560 x 1600. It could be possible that the resolution for the hdmi output is set too high for the monitor.

I had this happen once on a computer that I was working on. It turned out to be the power supply was bad. Have you tried taking the battery out and seeing if the laptop will run just plugged into the wall?

Have you gone to Device Manager and see if you have any exclamation points in network devices. If you can plug your computer to the internet through an Ethernet connection. Right click on the exclamation point if there is one and choose update drivers. After this choose search automatically.

Do you have onboard graphics on the motherboard itself. Go in the BIOS and make sure that the graphics are coming from the graphics card and not the onboard graphics. Also make sure that the graphics card is properly plugged in to both the motherboard and the power supply.
