Maybe a combo of mother/cpu and rams. That will give you a better base where you can add a gpu later. Buying just a nvidia 1050 also would improve your gaming. I used to have that processor and it still can face mild gaming. Idk if the newest of the total war series because they r so cpu dependent

When you are not using the gpu, you have to use the ports thst are integrated to your motherboard. The pc you purchased came with the gpu? Or you bought it afterwards? Also, perhaps you are not getting signal because there are two types of dvi. Analog and digital. Try using the integrated hdmi port

2 years dealing with bsod's? That's completely unbearable. You could try to remove the gpu and try using just the integrated graphic chip with the intel, If it doesnt crash, maybe its related to GPU

Its either your RAM or GPU; I would start by checking temps of all components with speedfan or similar. If temps are high, clean components and replace thermal paste. If bsod persist I would start with the classic memory ram troubleshooting: Memtest86+ 8 passes. If no errors are shown, procede...
