    If you can, always single card over crossfire or SLI because VRAM doesnt add, you still only have 2 GB, and some games have problems with microstuttering and don't get any FPS gains becasue they dont know how to distribute load properly. Directx 12 games also wont work. At all.

    That is a low-medium end computer from almost 5 years ago. You are running games off of the HDD like you said. Loading times are slow in what games exactly? Framerate drops in what games exactly?

    Freezing not under load seems to me like a case of broken RAM, do you have an extra stick to switch it out with?
