Thanks for the info, 13thmonkey. I'm replacing the original Intel fan inside an audio interface and they have it designed as such where you need the airguide. Without it, the interface will throttle.

I just purchased a Noctua NH-L9i cooler and I need to place an air guide in-between the fan and the heatsink. The top fan area has 4 screws. By removing them, should I be aware of anything coming apart, etc? Probably a newbie question but just wanted to make sure. Thanks.
