As already mentioned I haven't used any such programs earlier. But I did found one from here. Let's see if it works as suggested.

I agree. Garageband is one the best DAW application. But, now that I have shifted to windows, I have also been looking for a solution to run Garageband on my windows machine. For the time being I am using Audacity as an alternative, but I still wish I could use Garageband somehow.

Not sure. Have you tried updating your windows? it might install the need drivers for unknown devices.

Try updating windows and all the drivers along with it. See if some new installed program is causing this issue.
