[SOLVED] 1300 € build with Ryzen 5 5600x. Looking for some feedback.

Glad to hear about the fan speed. My current motherboard was already on the olden side when I bought it and the only way I had to set speed was to use a window app and had to restore it every reboot. So a properly working bios would be a relief. The PSU I'll go for the one jeremyj suggested. I...

[SOLVED] 1300 € build with Ryzen 5 5600x. Looking for some feedback.

Thanks for the reply. Point taken on the video card. I was looking at Nvidia mostly because I have always used them and they are getting discounts, but the Radeon does seem a better fit for me. I think I'll stick to the 5600x for the cpu just to avoid any chance of having to flash the bios. I...

Question Controlling fan speed on ASUS P8P67 pro

The BIOS doesn't let me configure custom rpm, only "modes" and silent mode is way too loud when the PC is at rest (reading, writing or watching videos). If you mean AI suite 3, I just assumed it was not compatible because there is not a direct link to it from the page related to my hardware.

Question Controlling fan speed on ASUS P8P67 pro

I have a fairly old mobo and I recently bought a new chassis fan. I've been without it for a few years and never cared much since I don't push my hardware too much. At first the fan was running at 2500 rpm but I noticed that the original fan was plugged in the slot for the power fan, so I...

How to keep my router connected through power surges

Do you guys mean that these surges, only occurring when it's windy, are normal but a proper domestic wiring can counter them? If so this is good (while still being bad) at least I can pay someone to solve it. Asking the authorities to deal with the problem (if it is outside my control) would...

How to keep my router connected through power surges

During windy days, I can constantly see these small power surges in my house, the light bulbs flicker and certain electronic devices lose power for a second. I am assuming that this is because of trees being swept on the power line by wind, which explains why this happens during the warm seasons...

Need advice to upgrade system (GPU mainly)

I think I will go with a 1050. Love how the EVGA site has also the dimensions listed. I hope the MOBO will not mess things up. I will try the GPU first and see if it works. Worst case scenario I can replace both. Thanks for the support

Need advice to upgrade system (GPU mainly)

Budget-wise I rather stay low because I imagine I will replace the whole thing in a couple years and maybe give this system to someone as a gift. 250 € max is what I would like, the lowest the better. I am a bit worried about the motherboard though. I did some research on the subject and turns...

Need advice to upgrade system (GPU mainly)

Hallo, I currently can't afford to replace my whole system so I would like to ask for advice about what is best to spend some money on. I know that my GPU is the bottleneck of the system since I can't run most games smoothly and probably the easiest to replace, but I am open to opinions. My...

    5.1 Speakers turning off randomly

I recently bought a new 5.1 set of speakers for my PC, a Creative A550. I know the model is not recent but I can't affort expensive rigs at the moment so I opted for a "reliable" manufacturer. Over the course of 15 years I have changed speakers 5 times, and not once I have had the privilege to...
