looking for the ideal mATX case

Well, I ended up with a Dimastech nano, a mATX test bench. I like it very much and the temperatures are good. I don't think I'll want going back to a closed case anytime soon. It's just cool. Open air all the way! :)

looking for the ideal mATX case

Hi, I am currently running my components in the open-air on the desk. That's right. My motherboard sits on the desk with all the cards (with the metal brackets removed) fitted in. This is the best way I could find to keep my system as cool as possible and also decently silent. I have an i7-4771...

CPU Fan Speeds @ Only 500RPM?

I am not an expert but I had a similar problem. The fan speed is controlled by the motherboard (I suppose the fan is connected through a 4 PIN cable). You have to check the cooling profile in the motherboard BIOS. Check also this thread...

I need a PSU with flexible cables

I already have a Corsair RM 650 but the cables are just too stiff. I am looking for more flexible cables. Are the Corsair individually braided cables good? What other PSUs are out there which are of high quality but also have flexible cables? Thanks

best airflow in a mATX case

I have a Gigabyte GTX 780 Ti Winforce OC card which needs to be cooled and a Noctua NH-L12 CPU cooler. I also have 3 x 2.5 inch SSDs and I might add more in the future.

best airflow in a mATX case

I need a mATX case. I already have a PSU. I am only air cooling. I need a very good ventilated mATX case. I can add fans as needed, preferably Noctua fans. Are there any recommendations? Beautiful if possible. Thanks

please recommend me a good PCIe souncard

I need a soundcard to be used for all purposes. Gaming, as well as to be used with Sonar X3 in ASIO mode (I am Sonar beginner but I'll need ASIO). Unfortunately I have only a PCIe free slot. What good cards are out there? I don't like SoundBlaster Z, I tried one and maybe the board itself was...

    Soundblaster Z EMI shilelding

That's what I was suspecting as well. Thanks

    Soundblaster Z EMI shilelding

Is the SoundBlaster Z EMI shielding really effective? It has a hole in it, the round glass in the middle. Also it is not shielded on the back. How effective it is? Is this really shielding? Also, I dislike the two red LEDs. This is just bad taste... And the plastic piece in the center of window...

Case Fans More intake or exhaust?

I am not an expert, but in my Silverstone SG-09 case manual they do recommend for the video card area (lower part) cooling 3 x intake fans (1 x 120 mm + 2 x 92 mm) and 1 x exhaust fan (80 mm). By default, for the CPU cooling area (upper part) the case has a large 180 mm intake fan and one small...

    Noctua fans, PWM or not

    The answer: PWM is better.

    Noctua fans, PWM or not

I have a Silverstone SG-09 case and I need to install additional fans as my video card is running too hot (maximum 73 in open air as compared to 82 when in the case). I want to buy two additional 90 mm fans and one 80 mm fan for exhaust from Noctua. They have the same fans with or without PWM...

Intel desktop motherboard with SAS enabled

I think you need a board with a SAS controller, not SATA. I think only server boards have this kind of ability.
