Question I have to unplug my network cable and restart Windows 11 to get a decent speed ?

Thank you for your suggestion. I'll get a new cable then. By the way, this afternoon, the ethernet speed didn't flinch and stayed at 1.0Gbps

Question I have to unplug my network cable and restart Windows 11 to get a decent speed ?

I found a potential issue. When my connection is around the 90mb mark, the Lenovo USB Ethernet Properties shows 100mbs. I found that in its properties its Speed & Duplex value is set to "Auto Negotiation". After setting it up to "1.0 Gbps Full Duplex" and restarting the notebook, it is around...

Question I have to unplug my network cable and restart Windows 11 to get a decent speed ?

A while ago, I started noticing that my internet speed was not what I had contracted with my provider. I contacted their technical support, and their response was that everything was fine on their end. They asked about my notebook, a ThinkPad P1 Gen 3, and my setup—I am using a docking station...

    Question What does this mean 20V = 6.75A/8.5A ?

I have been given a 65W power supply to use, but that doesn't seem the correct one. While I get a 170W power supply is there any risk using the 65W? Actually, I have been using it for 3 weeks!

Question ThinkPad Workstation Dock not working properly after getting wet.

Well, it looks like the issue is indeed with the notebook: I tried connecting a monitor using the notebook's HDMI port and it wasn't detected. Connecting the loudspeaker to the lateral USB port and into the audio port did work.

The devices, monitor, loudspeaker, and keyboard, were in my office so they didn't get wet, the connectors are on the back of the docking station so they are also dry. The only part that yes got some moisture is the actual...

Restoring to factory settings my ThinkPad P51

Hi, One week after the reinstall I am pretty happy with the result. My Thinkpad P51 is back to its old self and ran fast again. I guess the installation I made since I got it, more than 3 years ago, took its toll: I had 3 different SQL Server versions, 2 SQL Management Studio, 2 Visual Studio...

Restoring to factory settings my ThinkPad P51

What I mean is having my notebook back as when I got it first: with a clean Windows and nothing more. Ideally only wiping out only my C drive, and leave the D and E drives as they are I will reinstall all the programs I am using, Windows 10 by the way. Lenovo says that by pressing F11...
