Could be a heat issue too. That'll force you PC to shut down to protect itself.

Is you PC overheating by any chance? My CPU fan failed, without warning, and once the CPU hit 80°C, my PC shut down until it cooled. Took me a while to notice, because the fan would spin at startup, then stop a few seconds later. Lol Replaced it, and it's all good now.

Sounds to me like your CPU might be overheating, and throttling back. Does you use the (aweful) stock cooler? I don't recall any recent AMD CPU being cooled sufficiently by the stock cooler.
