He (Tim from alphacool) probably was referring to the 2 product lines, not the individual fittings I was asking about. I think the difference is marketing. And he didn't take the time to look up manufacturing differences like plating thickness, or the ID of the inside of the fitting.
You mean a killcoil doesn't really cause tarnishing or doen't kill much organics?
And wasn't PTNuke copper(II) sulfate linked to tarnishing a while back? I think EK said that.
Alphacool "Eiszapfen" vs. Alphacool "HF"
Their measurements are the same. Each chrome-plated brass.
First the 90s:
Eiszapfen 90, 7.45 euro:
HF 90, 6.45 euro:
Next the 45s:
Eiszapfen 45, 9.95 euro:
HF 45, 6.45 euro:
Any idea?
I saw where linus cooled like 5 desktops in one loop. He settled on a massive AC powered filter for the organics though. Seems a biocide would have been easier. That was a while ago, so maybe his advice progressed further.
I couldn't tell which coolant/additive is the most popular. When I go to the retail sites and rank coolants according to "best selling", different sites give me different results. This is my first watercooling build, so I just want the safest bet, and I figure that would be the most popular...
$6.22, Alphacool, 1/2" barb, 90° rotatable
$13.50, Bitspower, 1/2" barb, 90° rotatable
At 2x the price I cant tell which I should get. I'm mainly concerned about leaks. At the G1/4 threads, or the rotatey part, or the barb. Alphacool & Bitspower are such big names, I don't understand the...
I'm looking to buy a 3 x 180mm radiator or a 2 x 200mm radiator for a i9-9900K + GPU. Trouble is, I can only find 2 PWM fan models:
Phobya G-Silent PWM, 180x25mm, 900rpm, (or here)
Noctua NF-A20 PWM, 200x30mm, 800rpm.
There are tons of 3-pin models in those sizes (Silverstone, BitFenix, Cooler...
I'm considering a cylidrical reservoir for my first watercooling build, but don't understand certain designs.
In this model (EK RES X4 250), when the water flows in from the top, doesn't it produce bubbles like a waterfall?
In this model (Alphacool Eisbecher 150), what is that inside tube...
I did some searching. At home depot, the smallest size acrylic sheet is almost as much as a new res.
Also how would I stop the cyclone if i put a fitting in the bottom?
