Thanks everyone, from what I'm reading, this processor can still hold its own, but I'm getting close to it being necessary to upgrade, I'm going to stay pat for awhile, I'm already running a 1070 with the 4570 and I have no complaints at all.

Need to get some advice. My current build has a i5 4570 and I'm looking to see if it is worth it to upgrade the processor (and motherboard) to a i7 8700. What type of benefits would I see when gaming? I'm also waiting around for the Nividia Gtx 1180 and will upgrade to that when in comes...

Thanks guys for the input, just was getting caught up in the Ryzen hype a little, sounds like I need to stay put. I have looked into the i7 4790 though, seems to be a very comparable processor to the i7 6700, but the price is just too high, not sure if I'd see any real benefits.

Could anyone give me any advise on if AMD 1700 would be a worth while upgrade over the i5 4570 that I currently run? Another question, is the AMD 1700 and upgrade over the i7 6700?
