My primary use of this machine is gaming. The secondary use is video encoding using handbrake. Is there a noticeable performance gain from the higher speed ram?

Title says it all. Would the faster speed make up for the higher cas latency? Or would the slower ram with the lower cas latency be better. I'm speaking in terms of gaming. I'm using an i7 3770k, gtx 970, and asrock z77m motherboard Thanks!

The more you spend initially, the longer the parts will last without becoming obsolete. My friend has an 8 year old system that was practically a supercomputer when it came out. He upgraded the gpu once and it performs on par with consoles. He is due for a second gpu upgrade however

Keep lowering the voltage until you either bsod or a prime 95 test fails a core. Any more voltage than necessary is just creating excess heat

Why do you ask for opinions on a poor build then ask for it to not be called poor? You are using an AMD a series which has an integrated gpu. Driving the price up. In a system with a discrete graphics card an I gpu is not necessary. You could get s better cpu for ther money, because truthfully...
