That is what I figured. However, z490 motherboards will be pcie 4.0 ready with a bios update. Will that same update make it thunderbolt 4 ready?

I know that Intel announced thunderbolt 4. Now that brings up the question whether or not z490 motherboards that will support Intel Rocket lake cpu's, that already have thunderbolt 3, if they will be forward compatible with thunderbolt 4. In a nutshell, will z490 MB's using a Rocket lake CPU...
