another thing thats wierd, is the card does work. Its only after I put a load on it that it pixelates and crashed. THAT could mean psu yeah? Like the gpu would draw more wattage and the psu couldnt supply it so crash. THoughts?

My vote for 1080p gaming is the 1070. No way in hell you are gonna max that card out on anything. Just install your hw/sw, run benchmarks to measure temps and that performance is where it should be. Then just get your game on. Turn fps counter off. And feel the game play. Like just play...
