How does Windows 10 do with gaming compared to windows 8.1 pro?

Win 8.1 will have DX 12 as well.. plus no games use DX 12 yet... most games BARELY even use DX11... it's either 9 or 11 (10 is dead)... it's mostly major titles and MAYBE 40% of new games use DX 11 and when I mean use I mean use it PROPERLY... as some games just run under DX11 but don't use...

Windows 8.1 Using 32GB of RAM

Solved my issue... the problem was in task scheduler.. it was set to make a system restore point every time i logged in and every 1hr the computer was idle... I have 4 drives.. all raid arrays totaling around 30TB... Apparently when a system restore point is made on a system like mine, it adds...

Try something easier... open up task manager go to performance tab click the link for resource monitor sort by working set to the largest working set is first.. is it SYSTEM? if so.. how much is it using? If it's SYSTEM.... then you are in for a LONG road finding the issue.... or if...

GTX 780 ti running too hot?

My post has been cut in 1/2.. and is a LOT less... him... on the offensive.. and anything that remotely seemed to be flaming in my old post was deleted... I posted last night but today my post was gone... with no notification why... I assumed it was way to long.. and was more of a RANT vs...

Windows 8.1 Using 32GB of RAM

If you run resource monitor off the performance tab in task manager... sort by working set...I'll bet you the SYSTEM process is using it all... most other programs WILL NOT see the system process (ntoskernel.exe), and you are left in the dark to what's going on. I'm having the same issue... It...

Installed 4gb of RAM memory, but BIOS says only 2.5gb are usable

Old post.. but many older mobos supported 4GB of ram and had early x64 CPUs..the problem was the mobos/bios had problems mapping hardware above the 4GB limit... so even though Windows could us Terabytes of physical memory, and your board allowed 4GB... most likely your video card was using up 1...

Maybe, Maybe not... my point is.. I was doing a google search on this subject, and this and other older pages came up.. some 1 month, some 3, some 1 year.. and I STILL replied Not so much for the OP but for the OTHER people on the internet who have the same question as the OP that have 1) gone...

Should I use USB 3.0 hub to connect USB 2.0 External HDD?

I have a USB 3.0 raid box on my PC. I have 6 4TB drives running in a Raid 5 configuration. for 20TB of space.. this array is so darn fast, I go right up to the USB 3.0 limit.. not it's not 5Gbps.. that's the TOTAL limit.. not counting overhead etc.... the realistic limit is around 3-4Gbps.. This...

GTX 780 ti running too hot?

Those programs on my 780ti show 95c. Not 82c Anyway. In a proper environment that card should never go near 82 to 95c I have a super clocked version with a special cooling system from EVGA. Added about 100$ extra to the cost. I can tell precision x to target 95c and I never go over 75 to 80...

GTX 780 ti running too hot?

The 780TI can take ultra high temps that would usually fry other GTX cards... in the past.. as a general rule of thumb, the instant a GTX card hit 90C... even for a second.. you just cut the life of the card in 1/2 Not the case with the 780TI.. the max operational temp is 95C... so it can run...
