Have you tried programs like hwmoniter to see if your PC is overheating? Also, did you get any BSODs when it reboots?

the gtx 1050 will work fine with a pci e 2.0 but if you look in the motherboard bios settings look for graphics configuration. Try setting it to PEG instead of IGP
