this was what i was thinking as well. motherboard def out of warranty, i built this system 7 or 8 years ago.

I've noticed recently that my CPU Temp was running extremely high (between 94-100 degrees). I cleaned out my case which was a bit dusty and also cleaned the watercooler radiator which was caked in dust in fairness, but thats all clean now. this made no change. I've cleaned the old thermal paste...

So I started up a build this evening, and got as far as mounting the Mobo, as well as the watercooler and cpu and PSU. I then went to test and turn the system on, but no joy. I then tried with just the mobo, and the PSU didn't even spin up the fan when turned on. (tested the PSU with the tester...
