Nvidia GeForce GTX 1000 Series (Pascal) MegaThread: FAQ and Resources

I'm honestly a bit paranoid about the 1080Ti, if it ever even comes out. Because people are now expecting a card that will be much cheaper than the Titan but only perform slightly worse, so they cannot really pull of the same "trick" they did last year, so it may not reach our expectations in...

GTX 980Ti - plethora of problems

Well, I just did a scan with a licensed Kasperky antivirus (a yearly license came with my motherboard), and with Malwarebytes, both found nothing. So I guess it's a driver issue then? The GPU is still sitting at 98% usage as we speak. EDIT: It was a miner, I managed to find the culprit...

    HD7850 crossfire with r7 240 ?

Besides, I'm pretty sure that multi-GPU only works if you have two cards that perform similarly. And if I'm not mistaken, the R7 240 massively outperforms HD7850.

GTX 980Ti - plethora of problems

So... I'm having some very weird issues. I'm... beyond amazed. So, first of all, after playing in a game for about half an hour, my performance will drop drastically for not only in that game, but also any other, until I restart. It has nothing to do with GPU temperature, as it never goes above...

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1000 Series (Pascal) MegaThread: FAQ and Resources

The thing is though, all of these tests that I have seen seem to consistently show a 1-2fps difference, in favor of 16x 3.0 (vs 8x 3.0). I mean, it could be nothing, but such a consistent difference seems to point at something, no matter how small it is. Still, this obviously doesn't mean that...

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1000 Series (Pascal) MegaThread: FAQ and Resources

Hasn't watercooling GPU's pretty much become an enthusiast-only thing that generally won't lead to increased performance? From what I know, modern aircooling solutions have caught up and made watercooling pretty much unnecessary for anything other than pure aesthetics, unless if you want a...

Is it bad for a GPU to sit diagonally?

It's because of the poor camera angle, even the GPU didn't actually sag as much as shown in the image, and the motherobard is fit nicely, but thanks anyway.

Is it bad for a GPU to sit diagonally?

As I said, it does that even if that sound card is not there. And if I were to move the soundcard to the 1x above the SSD, it would turn the SSD's 4x into a 2x. I really don't know why it does that. I mean, it's quite obviously because of the weight, as it's a 980 Ti Strix, but still, I've never...

Is it bad for a GPU to sit diagonally?

It seems to work, but can I expect any problems in the future? I know that it looks like it's being pushed down by the sound card's op amp, but it was like that even before I installed it. It seems to be perfectly straight on the PCI slot, it's just the actual card that seems to be going in it's...

Can we expect to see dedicated "gaming" OLED monitors soon?

So, I recently got my PG348Q, but knowing how poor the QC of these monitors is, I'm returning it. But I've been thinking, should I look for a replacement, or just get a cheap monitor for now, and wait for an OLED display later on? You know, the kind of the Asus PG or Acer X-series, made to have...

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1000 Series (Pascal) MegaThread: FAQ and Resources

HDR is still a little bit too far from reality to consider right now, as far as I know. At least on relatively sane prices and until we see HDR in dedicated "gaming" monitors, such as the Asus PG and Acer X series, but you might not be interested in that. Could be wrong though, I haven't been...

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1000 Series (Pascal) MegaThread: FAQ and Resources

And I bought a 980Ti two months ago At least I can hope that multi-GPU will become a common thing. Although we're very far from that.
