[SOLVED] No Post When Components in Case

Unless you have a friend you can borrow parts from you'll have to resort to the replacement method. The motherboard you're using is a lower end model so I would tend to lean towards replacing that first. Unfortunately there are no guarantees but what you can do is return any new board you buy if...

[SOLVED] No Post When Components in Case

From what you've done so far for testing it's starting to sound like the motherboard or cpu may be the issue. If you can RMA the motherboard I would start there.

[SOLVED] No Post When Components in Case

Verify there are no extra motherboard stand-offs in the case that might be behind the board causing a short. If that checks out I would try replacing the PSU.

    [SOLVED] Is my PSU enough?

Look up your exact model of 2070 online and see what the manufacturer recommends for the minimum acceptable PSU. I typically will add 100w to that recommendation but if your PSU is a quality unit you can do fine with the recommended size.

[SOLVED] Need a little help please

You should definitely copy everything you are concerned about to a separate backup drive...preferably stand alone to avoid potential virus/malware transmission. If you can I'd suggest waiting until you have enough money to grab a 5600x cpu and motherboard combo as the uplift over a 2600 is...

Question High End PC build on a budget?

I'd be curious to know what the rest of your system components are since what you've listed is fairly respectable. It's possible that simply moving to a Ryzen 5600x (if your motherboard is compatible) and rtx 3070 will give you plenty of power to play those upcoming games.

Question Phone Line to carry Internet

It's definitely been done...it just wasn't that common outside more affluent homes. I've been in some homes that had so many standard telco 4 wires run around the house that they had to install a separate punch down block just to terminate them all next to the telco demark.

Question Phone Line to carry Internet

You have to get very lucky for the phone wiring in the home to be anything but traditional 4 wire inside wire. You might be surprised how good a current gen wifi 6 pci-e card will do when running 5g if your new fiber router provides 5g wireless. I use one myself for fps games like cod mw, bo4...

[SOLVED] Gigabyte aorus 3080 RTX xtreme rev 2.0 crashing above 2Ghz

This could be a defective GPU but it could also be a defective or failing 12v rail in the PSU from what you've described. Given how expensive and hard to replace GPUs are right now I'd recommend at least swapping out the PSU just to test it.

[SOLVED] BIOS issue? X570 Aorus Elite

I assume this is a new issue and not something that has happened since the PC was built ? I'd swap out the PSU as a starting point.

Question FPS Drops / Stutters (COD Warzone)

I'm not saying your 2600 is defective but there's no doubt moving to a 5600x cpu will make a big improvement in your 1% lows (minimum fps in game) since there's a large IPC improvement, clock speed increase, as well as a lot more cpu cache on the 5600x. I see on the support page for your board...

Question FPS Drops / Stutters (COD Warzone)

Make sure the nVidia control panel and Windows advanced monitor setting are both showing 144hz. Try setting a 144fps frame cap in the nvidia control panel and set vsync to always off. Have you tried a new monitor cable ? If you're running HDMI have you tried DisplayPort and vice versa ?

    [SOLVED] gpu usage 30%

Make sure the Windows power profile allows the laptop to run at max performance when plugged in. Increasing the graphics quality in game will place more of the load on the GPU. What are your CPU temps ? since 70-90% load at 2.6ghz is much different than 90% cpu at 4-5ghz. Using a power...
