Yes I did, but here's the thing though, when I boot up the pc it tells me it's usual message that the processor is incompatible, but when I press esc, and select continue startup in the menu, then the pc continues to run. It's even telling me what processor it is in msinfo32, plus I've tested...

So I got an Intel i7-2600K processor for my HP Pavilion 500-023w pc. My pc is telling me that the processor isn't compatible, but I've read elsewhere that I should be fine if I update my BIOS, which I did. It's still saying however that the processor isn't compatible. Did I do something wrong...

I'm glad I found this because I'm having the same issue. Tried updating the BIOS, no dice. I'm thinking that in fact an i7 2600k processor is not compatible
