Well aware that value is different for every person but looking for some opinions. Clearly the 4070 TI is too highly priced as a rebranded 4080. However given prices over past three years, $825 for a high end GPU isn't overly outrageous and I'd be surprised if we saw lower prices or similar...

I went with the 5800X3D for reasons above, wanted to get something I could set and forget for next 4-5 years. At this point upgrading my 3070 to either a 4,000 or 5,000 series in a couple years would likely give it plenty of life before switching to AM5.
