    i7 8700k / i7 7700k w/ 1060

Long story short, I spent some money on a 1060 6gb about 5 months ago. Recently I decided I was going to upgrade my PC with my budget being closer to the low 1000s. I am guessing I'll have all the money ready and order the parts in February-April 2018. Since my old CPU is quite aged, an...

Newbie - Overclocked my aged i7-870 to 3.7GHz

Decided to try and OC my CPU to 3.7 and so far it's very stable. I can notice the performance increase and it's great, but the temps worried me a bit, they raised from around 56 to the 60-65 degree celsius range. Are these temps fine for long-term CPU use? They usually hover around 63 or 64...

Lots of dust in CPU Cooler, should I re-seat the heatsink?

I noticed that my CPU cooler had a lot of dust in the heatsink, fan, and the pipes. I was wondering if this is probably why my temps are so high when gaming - usually in the high 60s (66, 69, 68). I was wondering if I took out the heatsink and dusted it out and reapplied the past it would help a...

    Safe CPU Temps?

Recently got a new 1060 and got that all fixed in. I realized my CPU is really dated - an i7 870, and I was wondering if I overclock it to 3.5 GHz it will get rid of some of the bottleneck. I have tried it at 3.5ghz and it was very stable but the temps were between 70-80°C. Is this fine temps...

    GPU Barely fits PC

got a 1060 and it barely fits in my case with barely enough room, but won't crush any other components, and has very small but enough room where it's not in direct contact with the bays or anything else. just worried would it get too hot? Picture https://ibb.co/foV6i5

Will these parts work together fine and be pretty good for playing games?

I play my video games on 1080p, and will not plan to upgrade to 1440p or 4K anytime soon. 1080p is the sweet spot for me. I am just wondering if these parts are good valued and will be pretty good for most 1080p games for the most part. CPU: Intel Core i5-7600K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU...
