If you use a PCI sound card, just make sure you disable the built-in one, in the bios or jumber on MB.

You should be able to re-install the "upgrade" version onto a blank hard drive. All you would need is the install disk for WinME, to verify that you had a previous version.

I just got an Ausus, A7V333, and I like it alot, haven't had any problems at all. When instaling the CPU on your new motherboard, make sure to get clean off the old thermal tape off of the heatsink and replacing with thermal paste.
I had the same problem with a Giga-byte and an Athlon 1900+ xp cpu. I thought the CPU overheated. So I, replaced the CPU and Motherboard. You may have a virus in the bios. You may want to try flashing an updated version.
Another possible cause is the difference in power here and overseas. Here we use 110. You might want to check into that. You may need a converter of some kind.
