Buying second internet connection (Time Warner Cable)

He hasn't mentioned any changes to the settings, and has acted just as baffled as I am at the internet speeds at times. I don't have the admin password to log in, so I can't see any changes personally.

Buying second internet connection (Time Warner Cable)

I believe he last did it a few days ago. I'm pretty sure it's a bandwidth problem. For some reason it's giving video streams priority over everything else, whereas I don't think it was before. I've tried it myself, Open TeamSpeak (I have it set to monitor my ping), open Youtube and watch a...

Buying second internet connection (Time Warner Cable)

I'm hardwired into it. We currently have 15mbps speed. We weren't having any problems until about 3 weeks ago. Then all of a sudden, whenever he would be watching something on Youtube, Netflix, or some other streaming website, my ping would jump up. If he is not at home, I have absolutely no...

Buying second internet connection (Time Warner Cable)

That makes sense as far as the account ownership goes. Never really thought about that, since I pay my bills on time. As far as a second line goes though, it's an apartment that we're renting. I don't know if that helps at all.

Buying second internet connection (Time Warner Cable)

Some backstory here: My roommate owns the current internet connection, and is being rather stubborn with upgrading the speed. Understandably on his part, he sees no problem since he does not game online. I, however, do a lot of online gaming. When he's watching youtube videos and whatnot, it...

Upgraded Motherboard and CPU, feels slower

It didn't prompt me to reinstall, so I didn't. I had read that you should, but I had also read that you didn't have to. Would it help everything, including games, run faster?

Anyone with a EVGA 980ti Hybrid?

You can change the fan speed with MSI Afterburner. Or Precision X, however I'd personally recommend against that one as it crashed games for me constantly.

Upgraded Motherboard and CPU, feels slower

Hi, I recently upgraded from an AMD 8350 with an ASUS ROG Crosshair V Formula-Z motherboard to an Intel i7 6700k with an ASUS Z170-DELUXE motherboard. The 8350 was OC'd to 4.6 ghz, and my 6700k is OC'd to 4.7 ghz (The turbo is, at least). Since upgrading, I haven't really noticed all that much...

    980 Ti Hybrid crashing

Yeah, besides the crashing I was having, which I'm guessing was because I was using Precision X, I love it. The card stays very cool, makes little noise, and runs games great. I'm only playing at 1080p, which is hella overkill for this card, but I've heard it performs very well at higher...

    980 Ti Hybrid crashing

As far as I can tell, haven't crashed in a day or so. I'll update again if it happens again. Thank you very much for your help though!

    980 Ti Hybrid crashing

Only other thing I can think of is because I was using Precision X. I've read that it's caused problems for people, and I recently set it to not load on startup.

    980 Ti Hybrid crashing

Only thing that I have changed so far is lowering some of the settings in game (Turning shadows off, and whatnot). Haven't crashed since, so I'm wondering if it's just a driver issue?

    980 Ti Hybrid crashing

My RAM's speed is 1866Mhz, should I underclock it to 1600? Also, as I said before, I wasn't have ANY problems when I was running on my 2 680 4GB cards in SLI. If the problem is the RAM, why would it be showing now? (I bought my last pair about a year ago, and upgraded to the 980 Ti Hybrid at the...

    980 Ti Hybrid crashing

The RAM I'm using is the G.SKILL TridentX Series, I originally bought 1 set (2x8GB sticks) then bought another set about a year later, same kind. I wasn't having any problems when I had my 2 680 4GBs in SLI or before that when I had just a single 680 4GB. My problems have only begun since...
