The thermalright hr-01 might do the trick. You can get a duct that attaches to the rear case fan and the cpu cooler. I had that motherboard for a whole month before it died on me. The nb fan will quiet down if you use a fan controller and lower the speed just a hair. The problem with finding...
If the mobo doesn't recognize you cpu it will fail to boot. Had this problem with my crosshair and 6000+. They sent me a new bios chip, but they charge you shipping and will charge you if you don't send back the old chip. As far as customer service goes they should send you the chip for fre...
If you have two sets of ram with different sizes you need to make sure that each bank of the memory controller has an equal amount of ram. So put put one 1gb and 1 512mb on channel "a" and the other set on channel "b". You may not be running in dual channel 128-bit mode, and defaulting to...

I have the neo4 plat. version of that board and know how anoying that fan is at constant 7k rpm. Was the loudest component in my system. Either hook it up to fanmate (they are like 5 bucks), or if you have an antec truepower supply use the fan only connector like i did. If your case is well...
the fan will only run at the speed it was designed to run, so 2300rpm. If looking for something quiet, look at the noise level ratings. 25dba is not too bad. 18 to 20 is almost inaudable.
You get lost with all these posts that don't answer the question. The memory speed will depent on the chipset you are using. It has to do with having 4 double sided ram chips, i know msi will clock down to 333. Do you have a 24pin power supply? The graphics card needs power from the mobo and...
I recently upgraded to a 7800gt. and got it from newegg. The 516 is what i got, comes with the copper heat sink. It runs stable at 510/1.19. I would go for this model and use the saved money on an nvsilencer as the stock fan is a tad bit noisey.
I am currently usung an msi neo4 platinum and have been very satisfied with it's performance. There are 8 sata connectors, but only 4 will run at 3gb/sec. The overclocking features are pretty straight forward also. Runs my 7800gt at 513/1188, Got me over 8k in 3dmark05.
