The K series support overclocking over 2666MHz. You need a K series CPU and a Z series motherboard for intel overclocking.

It does show up 2133mhz detected speed and it boots with 2133 in Auto settings. But it sets to 2666mhz in the settings after enabling the "XMP" profile. Shouldn't it show 2666mhz regardless of the settings?

I could manage to put a temporary 6cm fan on the heatsink beside the cpu and it actually solved the vr thermal throttling. There is no extra place for me to put a fun to case but I will probably make a hole in top of the case for extra airflow.
