they were sticking up in sets of two prongs, i'll add to the post to clarify the red outlined ones in the picture were the ones broken off, while all the other ones are still intact (though they are a bit caked in thermal paste)

I was wiping a bit hard to get the terribly applied dell thermal paste off my dell XPS cpu, and two of the surrounding pin things broke off. How big of a deal is this? edit: applied new thermal paste, reassembled and laptop turns on fine. the only weird thing i'm noticing is the fans turning...
