The GTX 1050TI is a good option for your computer, shouldn't bottleneck, and the newer 10 series should stay up-to-date with newer games (whilst fitting your price budget)

Have you looked at the Thermal paste recently? Maybe it could do with a fresh re-application. Consider a water cooler for the best experience. My personal favourite: Antec Mercury 360 (triple fan). Keeps me i7-4790 at around 25C idle.
